About The Carriage Barn

The Carriage Barn Equine Assisted Therapy Programs seek to promote the health and well-being of individuals of all ages with disabilities by enhancing their physical, psychological, cognitive and emotional healing and strengthening through equine activities. Our program activities further this purpose by utilizing horses to provide opportunities for participants to form unique relationships that nurture and empower them in a way that brings new insights, self-confidence, improved communication, and relaxation to their lives. In the context of a quiet, natural outdoor setting, these equine activities provide our participants with a serene learning environment.

We began providing therapeutic services as The Carriage Barn, LLC in 2000.  The Program was spun off as a separate legal entity, and granted federal IRS not-for-profit status in 2003, as The Carriage Barn Equestrian Center Therapeutic Riding Program, Inc.

The Carriage Barn is a Member Center of the Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship, International (PATH), as well as various regional and national organizations.

Our facility is located in Kensington, NH.  Visits are welcomed by appointment. If you would like to visit, please contact our administrative office.
